Grammar Notes
- In Chinese, the noun (household chores) often comes before the verb (do). For example, 我的家务是洗碗和做饭 (Wǒ de jiāwù shì xǐ wǎn hé zuò fàn) - My household chores are washing the dishes and cooking.
- Use 都 (dōu) to express "both" or "all". For example, 我妈妈每天都会洗衣服 (Wǒ māmā měitiān dōu huì xǐ yīfu) - My mother washes clothes every day.
- Use 要 (yào) to express "need to" or "have to". For example, 每周我都要擦窗户 (Měi zhōu wǒ dōu yào cā chuānghu) - I have to wipe the windows every week.
