Daily Routine

  • Understand the various time indicators in Gujarati such as સવારે (morning), બપોરે (afternoon), સાંજે (evening), રાત્રે (night).

  • Be familiar with verbs indicating daily activities such as ઉઠવું (to wake up), નાનાવું (to bathe), જમવું (to eat), વાંચવું (to read), શીખવું (to learn), રમવું (to play).

Section 1: Describing Morning Routine

  • Describe waking up in Gujarati by using phrases such as હું જાગેલો (I woke up) or હું સવારે બે વાગે જાગું છું (I wake up at 2 in the morning).
  • Mention personal hygiene activities including બ્રષ કરવું (brushing teeth) and નાનાવું (taking a bath).
  • State what you have for breakfast in Gujarati. For instance, you could say હું નાસ્તો તરીકે પાણીપુરી ખાઉં છું (I have pani puri for breakfast).

  • Use Gujarati phrases to explain when you do specific activities. For example, હું બપોરે બે વાગે જેવડું છું (I eat at 2 in the afternoon).

  • Explain the process of winding down for bed, i.e. હું સપ્તાહ દરમ્યાન રાત્રે આઢી દસ વાગે જ ઊતો હોય છું (I usually go to sleep at 10.30 at night during the week).

  • Express your feelings about different activities. For instance, you could say શાળાએ મને આનંદ આપે છે કેમ કે હું મિત્રો સાથે સમય પસાર કરી શકું છું (School gives me joy as I can spend time with friends).
  • Share your opinions or preferences about your routine in clear Gujarati. For instance, હું પુસ્તકો વાંચવાનું પસંદ કરું છું કોઈ કે દોડવાનी અપેક્ષાએ (I prefer reading books over running).
